We couldn't be more proud of these incredible future educators. They attended 3 weeks of UMES's High School Teacher University and came away with new friends, college experience, and 3 college credits. The future of education is bright.

We're so proud to be a part of the ribbon cutting at the Stephen Handy Long Memorial Park this morning. What a joy to see this beautiful facility available to the Pocomoke community. (Spoiler Alert: This adorable girl’s shot was a swoosh!) #WeAreWorcester #PartnershipsInAction

Our Summer Academy has ended, but we had a fabulous 5 weeks. Thank you to Kona Ice, Worcester Connects, UMES 4H, Drive on Time, Say it with Music, Brandon Bell, Salisbury University, UMES, and Wor-Wic Community College for being our partners in learning.

Our Summer Academy group, working with Nate and Tyron from Say it with Music, started recording today. Filming starts tomorrow. We cannot wait to see what the students create with these music producers and song writers. We are so thankful for True You Maryland, the Worcester County Health Department, and 21st CCLC secondary STAR grant.

ATTENTION SENIORS! Senior Warriors Day is soon! Tuesday August 20th @ 9A or 12P. Plan to be there!

Today, our future educators "moved in" to dormitories for the High School Teacher University program at UMES! Our students are taking dual enrollment courses and navigating college life during their several day stay. Thank you, Dr. Richard Warren, for this amazing opportunity!

That's a wrap for Week 3 of Summer Academy! Students worked hard identifying functions in Algebra, advancing their writing skills, engaging in service learning and physical activity as well as participating in Driver's Ed.

WCPS inaugural Community Schools Showcase was a great time to meet community partners and learn about the work of Community Schools. Strong communities create strong students. We are grateful for the connections built between schools and community partners. 💙💛

Happy Independence Day! Let us honor the diversity that strengthens our nation and ensure equal opportunities for all. 🇺🇸🎇🎆
