Calling all third grade families!
BES third graders will be taking their CogAT assessment immediately after arrival on March 4th, 5th, and 6th.
CogAT is a cognitive abilities assessment used by Worcester County Public Schools. It is just one of the pieces of data we use to identify students for our Gifted and Talented Program.
It is important that your student is in school on time and ready to learn every day, but especially on test days!

Reminder!
3rd and 4th graders will be taking MCAP reading on April 23rd-26th and MCAP math on May 6th-10th. It is critical that students are in school and ready to learn on those days. Do your best to ensure that your student gets a good night of sleep and is at school on time. Avoid scheduling any appointments or vacations during those days.
Our students have been working hard and we can't wait to see them shine! 🌟

Happy 100th Day of School! Attendance at school every day, that your child is well, is so important for their academic achievement. If your child has missed 10 days to date, they are at-risk of being chronically absent. Additionally, being at school on-time helps students start their day in a very positive way. If you need support with student attendance, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Aperance or Dr. Welch.

If you happen to see Mrs. Aperance, please make sure to thank her for everything she does to help make us the BESt school around!

MCAP is right around the corner!

Please mark our MCAP testing days on your calendar. We ask that you do your best to avoid scheduling vacations and other appointments on these days. It is so important that everyone stays healthy and comes to school!
More information about how you can help your student be ready to do their best on MCAP will be coming soon!
