💛💚What a fantastic morning! ☀️ We were thrilled to welcome our Kindergarten families for today’s “Down on the Farm” Donuts with Grown-ups event. 🚜🍩
Sponsored by Title I and the BES PTA, families enjoyed a sweet treat before diving into literacy activities. It was great seeing parents and students working together on proper letter formation using the Skyline technique!

Thank you to the Rotary Club for their visit to our PreK 3 classrooms during American Education Week! We appreciate your snack donation and the surprise of gifting us with the book you read!! 💚💛

What an amazing day of discovery! The Maryland Science Center brought their Traveling Science Program right to our doorstep. Our students were completely captivated by a series of spectacular demonstrations, sparking a love for science as they learned all about physical phenomenons and chemical reactions.

Today is Educational Support Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to recognize the unsung heroes who keep our school running, our students safe, and our community thriving!

Support staff had a sweet treat table setup in the office where they could grab a bag with some of their favorite candy. "How sweet it is to have staff like you!"

Good Afternoon families, we wanted to make you aware that due to the observation of Thanksgiving next week, there will NOT be Before and After School Academies on November 24-25. Thank you!

💚Today Mrs Martin and our very own Bucky Belters took their show on the road to The Woodlands in Ocean Pines and the Berlin Nursing Home! We are so proud of our students as they got into the holiday spirit by lifting others up with their beautiful voices! 🎤

Happy World Kindness Day! Today is a global reminder of the power we each hold to make the world a little brighter. Kindness isn't just a grand gesture; it's in the everyday moments:

• Holding the door for someone.
• Sending a quick, thoughtful text.
• Giving a genuine compliment
• Being kind to yourself.

Did you know all students at BES participate in Second Step as a weekly specials class with Mrs. Donaway?

This week, our students reflected on a time they showed kindness and created a wonderful Kindness Chain! This activity beautifully illustrates that one small, intentional act of kindness can create a powerful chain reaction, encouraging others to show kindness as well.

The Second Step program uses classroom-based activities to build vital social skills like empathy, collaboration, and, of course, kindness, perfectly aligning with the spirit of World Kindness Day.
