Tomorrow, students in Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade will be taking the end-of-year iReady diagnostic. We can't wait to see everyone do their very best!

Third grade and Mrs. Weismiller's class had an excellent start to our end-of-year iReady testing!
Tomorrow, schools are closed for students. When we come back on Wednesday, testing will resume for K, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade.

It is hard to believe, but we only have two more days of MCAP! Third and fourth graders will finish their Math MCAP this Thursday and Friday.
Next week, we will begin our final iReady diagnostic! iReady is a diagnostic that we give in the beginning, middle, and end of the year to track individual student growth.
Take a look at the calendar below to see exactly when each classroom will be taking the iReady diagnostic! Students test best when they are with their class, so please do your best to have your student at school on time and ready to learn on iReady days.

It's Teacher Appreciation Week! To celebrate, we'd like to take a moment to thank Susan Gray at Buckingham Elementary School!

WCPS Families, to stem any confusion, please be aware that school is in session tomorrow, April 23.
In August 2023, the Board of Education adopted a calendar revision moving the Countywide PD Day from April 23, to May 14, to align with the Presidential Primary election date. As this change occurred prior to the start of the school year, all of our countywide calendars have accurately reflected this information since that time.

We are looking forward to our Family Field Trip at Flagship Cinemas tomorrow! As a reminder, only students who registered and return their permission slip may attend. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Registered families may meet at BES at 9:15 or at the theater at 9:30. See you there!

See it. Hear it. Report it.

Dr. Jon Andes, Board of Education Member, and former Superintendent of Worcester County Public Schools visited our 3rd and 4th grade music classes with an engaging presentation of the Great Highland Bagpipes.
As a founding member of OC Pipes and Drums, Dr. Andes brings a wealth of experience, having played the bagpipes for 27 years. During his visit, he delved into the history of this iconic instrument, explored its intricate components, and treated our students to a performance of traditional bagpipe music.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Andes for sharing his passion and expertise, leaving our young learners inspired by the magic of the bagpipes!

Reminder there is NO after school today! Students will be dismissed using their normal transportation.

Today we celebrate Mrs. Bunting during National School Librarian Day! Thank you for your dedication to fostering a love of reading and helping to shape the future of our students. Your passion for educating and guiding students is invaluable and truly appreciated.
