Carolina Herrera was born with the name María Carolina Josefina Pacanins y Niño. She was born January 8, 1939 in Venezuela. She is a fashion designer known for her personal style and for dressing various First Ladies of the United States. She is also famous for making eyewear, fragrances, clothing and accessories.

The Worcester County Health Department and Atlantic General Hospital have again partnered to offer a free Flu Vaccine Clinic at BIS school. Lieutenant Colonel Olga E. Custodio is a former United States Air Force officer who became the first female Hispanic U.S. military pilot. She was the first Hispanic woman to complete U.S. Air Force military pilot training. She was born in 1953 in Puerto Rico.
