Celebrating excellence in mentorship! 🌟

Last evening at Salisbury University’s Regional Professional Development School Celebration, Ms. Graham was honored with the Outstanding Mentor Award — a well-deserved recognition of her dedication and impact.

Through her guidance and support, she has made a lasting difference in the journey of her intern, Ms. Palmatary, and continues to inspire future educators every day.

Thank you, Ms. Graham, for generously sharing your knowledge, skills, and passion for teaching. Your influence reaches far beyond the classroom! 👏🍎

Hats Off to Our Bus Drivers!

On this School Bus Driver Appreciation Day 🚌💛, we want to tip our hats to our bus drivers and all the care, patience, and dedication they show every single day.

They help keep our students safe on their journey to and from school. Their kindness, responsibility, and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for all that they do.

We hope our drivers love the Pocomoke hat they received as a token of thanks. It may be just a hat, but it comes with a whole lot of thanks and recognition for the important role they play in our community.

Hats off to our bus drivers today and every day! 🧢💛

PHS classes are participating in an attendance competition. See the graphic for standings and what the winning class will receive.

Did you know that a student is considered chronically absent if they miss 10% or more of the school year—that’s just 2 days a month? Whether absences are excused or unexcused, they add up quickly and can have a significant impact on learning, relationships, and overall achievement.

Consistent attendance helps students:
✔️ Stay on track academically
✔️ Build strong connections with teachers and peers
✔️ Develop responsibility and time management skills
✔️ Prepare for college, careers, and beyond

Let’s work together—students, families, and staff—to make attendance a priority. Every day in school is a step toward success! 🎓✨

At this time, our safety drill is over. During our hold drill, a K9 scan was conducted in partnership with law enforcement. We have periodic K9 scans in order to proactively ensure the safety of students and staff at Pocomoke High School- at no time should anything illegal/harmful be on school property. Thank you to students, staff and families for your assistance and cooperation.
