Chemistry students are investigating the atomic emission spectra for various elements! In today's lab, students conducted flame tests for several salts, determining the color produced by the various metal cations. Student's then approximated wavelength of the light produced and then calculated the energy of each color of light. The data collection was particularly beautiful! 🥼⚛️🤩
